The Danish artist Thomas Dambo has been doing something amazing with his free time that definitely put the Pinterest scrap wood projects in its back pocket. Dambo is making a creature-like constructions made simply out of scrap wood. And I tell you, they are enormous and not just in size, but in character too. From the wild animals, through the bearded fisherman throwing a spear all to way to the giant wooden man eating wood! He and his team not only design and construct these amazing, delightful sculptures but they also make them in a way so they interact with the environment that surrounds them, like “Troels The Troll” who is a completely recycled sculpture made in the city of Horsens for the campaign “Feel Horsens” and its mission to renew the city in an artistic and playful way. Troels is sweetly named after Thomas’ assistant and is the astonishing 5 meters tall, but the coolest thing about him is that in his right arm he holds a swing for the kids to use when they come to the park.
