In the end of July 2015, Huawei provided details about their new Honor 7 Smartphone. For the time being, the phone is only available in China. Unfortunately, there is no further information about the global availability at this point, but I’m sure they will start distribution pretty soon. The 16GB model will cost around $322, while the middle option offers the same storage space but has Dual 4G LTE SIM for $ 355 and the most advanced 64GB version bumps up to $402.
Lately Huawei has been making the headlines for its new partnership with Google regarding the next Nexus handset. However, the new agreement Google won’t stop the Huawei from developing new smartphones in future.
Operation system: Android 5.0 Lollipop, featuring aluminum alloy design and equipped with wide enough 5.2-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixel) display with the incredible density of 423ppi. The power comes from ARM’s Mali-T628 GPU, 3GB RAM. Honor 7 runs EMUI 3.1 skinned on top of Android and it also comes with a microSD card slot with capacity of up to 128GB.
With Huawei Honor 7, you get 20-megapixel camera with phase detection autofocus that according to Huawei Company, can deliver autofocus speed of 0.1 seconds. The rear camera features a Sony IMX230 sensor, f/2.0 aperture, 6 lens module and sapphire glass protection on top. And that’s not all, the front camera has 8-megapixel front-facing wide-range focus with a f/24 aperture.
Under the beautiful hood, the Honor 7 hides its powerful octa-core Kirin 930 processor, which is packing 4 Cortex 153 cores clocked at 2.2GHz and 4 more clocked at 1.5GHz. The juice comes from a 3100mAh battery with fast charging rate that allows you to fully charge your phone for 1 hour and 25 minutes or charge it to 50% in just 30 minutes.
Connectivity: here we have the standard for almost all the Huawei phones dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4Ghz – 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and LTE Cat 6 and NFC.
As you can see, Huawei Honor 7 beats iPhone 6 in every way at just half of the price. Let’s hope they start distributing this incredible phone out of China within the next few months.
