Paolo Troilo's Dramatic Finger Paintings

A true artist who does not even need a brush for his paintings. - 9 years ago by

Paolo Troilo paints his incredible dramatic paintings with nothing but his fingers. Instead of dipping the paintbrush into the paint, he dips his own finger in a black and white paint. Using that incredible technique, he creates extraordinary black and white paintings of naked human bodies in dramatical positions.

Troilo was born in 1972 in Taranto, Italy, but he lives and works in Milano. He attended Architecture and Modern Literature at the University of Florence, then went to Rome at the European Institute of Design.

He worked for several international advertising agencies, including Saatchi & Saatchi and Arnold Worldwide as a Creative Director. One of the most respected advertising agents in the world, Monsieur Jaques Seguela, said about Troilo: “I love this guy. He knows that money has no ideas. Only ideas make money”

Troilo had exhibited his works in many great cities around the world including San Fransisco, Miami, Paris, Madrid, Rome, Berlin and Singapore. In 2011, he was selected for the 54th Biennale di Venezia Exhibition.
