Ever heard of the artist expression that says staring at a marble wall will give you inspiration? Well, it seems as Canadian artist Glen Ronald took it pretty literally because that’s exactly what he did for his latest project. His incredible and innovative technique starts with just spilling ink randomly on the canvas. And from that puddle of ink he creates amazing portraits of different kinds of animals and nature using nothing but that ink, a pencil and a pen! That way it looks as if the images are almost coming to life from that chaotic splatter of a background. Just like when someone is slowly stepping out and showing himself from the shadows of the night. Seeing all those faces, snouts, fur and beaks dramatically showing up from on the canvas out of those abstract forms will make you believe that Ronald’s work is a true masterpiece that most definitely deserves to be seen.

This is what he had to say when asked about the process of his work: “I use chaos as a creative fuel. Mistakes, randomness, chaos, entropy – all things we often avoid have become the things I embrace when I paint and draw.”

Here is some more of his awe-inspiring work for you to enjoy.
