The incredibly talented Alex Currie is just 18 years old but is already an amazing photographer and filmmaker. His strong passion for photography mixed with his undeniable talent, have produced some awe-inspiring portrait photographs with a hint of some hidden bigger storyline. Each of Currie’s amazing photos has a background that looks like it’s taken from a scene of a giant fantasy movie or perhaps from a vivid colorful dream.
Alex is a part of a large community of young artists on Flickr and is very well known for his innovative project, named “365project”. For a whole year he took a picture and posted it every single day. As challenging as it sounds, that clearly helped him in shaping his own style and brought him one step closer to being a complete artist and photographer. It even got him a major recognition as the site named him one of the 20 under 20 most talented.
Currie just graduated from high school and he already has a large number of accomplishments and awards for both photography and videography to his name. Later this year he will have his first solo exhibition and then he will his hometown Buffalo, NY and will go on to the next challenge, where he will take on the University of Southern California, starting this fall.
