Planet Earth is incredible, however, some people are so busy with their lives that they take the natural wonders for granted and never take time to look up into the sky and just enjoy the beautiful night sky. We are consumers, we think that that the Mother Nature is here just to give us fuel for our cars, the water that we drink and the air we breathe. Nevertheless, our beautiful planet has so much more to offer. Here I am giving you some mind-blowing nature images that will change your perspectives on how nature works and where the place of humanity in the whole picture is.

# 7 - Ngorongoro Crater, Tanzania

Ngorongoro crater is considered the jewel of Tanzania. In the middle of the valley, you will find a spectacular volcano believed to have erupted more than 2 million years ago. This volcano is the largest, untouched by human, caldera in the world. Its size is incredible, spreading more than 20 kilometers across, over 600 meters in depth and covering a 300-square kilometer area. Ngorongoro crater in one of the world’s greatest, hair-raising natural wonders that you must see.

Jeita Grotto is an underground cave chain located 18 kilometers northwest from the Lebanon capital Beirut.  Looking at these awesome prehistoric caves makes you think that the cavemen didn’t live so bad after all. Jeita Grotto caves are located in the Nahr al-Kalb valley and the lowest parts of the caves remained undiscovered until 1836. Cave galleries include the underground river that is essential for supplying millions of Lebanese with drinking water. Therefore, if you are planning to visit the Middle East, Jeita Grotto caves are definitely one of the must-go places.

Aurora or the Northern Light is one of the most beautiful nature phenomena, its name derives from the Latin word ‘’aurora’’ meaning ‘’sunrise’’ and the Roman goddess of dawn. Solar rays (so-called solar wind) that hit the upper layers of the atmosphere cause Northern Light to appear.  Unfortunately, only the people who live in the Arctic and the Antarctic regions can see the Aurora with their own eyes. If you are from Europe, you can see the Northern Light in some parts of Finland and Norway. In America, you can enjoy it in northern Alaska and Canada.

# 4 – Grand Prismatic Spring

Grand Prismatic Spring is located in the Yellowstone National Park in the USA. They are the third largest hot springs in the world and the largest in the United States. When looking into the vivid colors if these springs, you can see all the colors of the rainbow. It is really a mind-blowing view. The beautiful colors come from bacteria and microbial mats that grow on the edges of the rocks because of the hot, mineral-rich water. 

# 3 – Pangong Tso Lake, India-China

Pangong Tso stands for Tiberian ‘’long, narrow, enchanted lake’’ also known as the Pangong Lake. This mind-blowing lake, situated at the Himalayas at the extraordinary altitude of 4 350 meters height, is not only one of the highest but with the length of more than 134 kilometers, it is also one of the largest lakes on Earth. One of the cons of this place is that in order to reach the beautiful lake, you have to travel more than 5 hours trough narrow mountain roads starting from Jammu, India. In addition, you will need permission from a registered tour guide. Do not let these obstacles bug you out because Pangong Tso Lake is worth the trouble.

Verdon Gorge is a heart-stopping ravine in southeastern France, in the heart of Europe. The river canyon is considered one of Europe’s most desolate and gorgeous places. The Vendor River has been forming the gorge for millions of years and now it is spreading over more than 25 kilometers in length and up to 700 meters in depth.

If you are going to Australia, Uluru or Ayers Rock is not a place you want to miss. It is one of the iconic Australian tourist attractions. Although it is a mass of 350 meters in height and more than 9 kilometers in circumference pile of rocks, there is something fascinating about it. The Uluru/Ayers is so famous because of its ability to change its colors throughout the day.
