15 Surefire Camping Tips And Techniques That Will Make Your Life Easier

When was the last time you went camping? Did everything go by plan or with a hitch?

To make your next camping trip memorable and easier, get ready by following a few useful tips and developing techniques that can keep you dry, warm, safe and calm so you can be able to take much pleasure in the loveliness of the surrounding countryside.

Spending the night. It is very important to eat high-calorie food so that it provides  you with enough calories to burn during sleep and, of course, to stay warm at night. If it is too cold outside that  will probably wake you up, so make sure there is an extra blanket you can get to warm yourself. Put on socks, and a hat if necessary. Also, a water bottle will be nice to have around in case you get thirsty.

Make the floor of your tent more comfortable and warm by using fluffy floor tiles.

Bring lamp or make one. Why bring a lamp when you can create a makeshift lantern that will provide you with so much light and is still easy on the eyes? And there is your reading lamp.

Make an alternative music speaker. If there is no room to bring CD player or speakers, use  your phone or iPod. Put it in a ceramic cup and enjoy the tunes.

Make fire with Doritos. Did you know that Doritos could be used as timber to light fire? Well, probably this fact doesn't speak well about their nutritional value but it's good to know that you can use them in case you run out of branchtimber.

Keep your clothes warm. When you are camping in winter or the weather turns out to be bad, the most important is your clothes to stay warm and dry. The easiest way to do that is to put your clothes (not all of them but these you will wear on the next day) in your sleeping bag so they can get warm while you sleep.

Make sure you bring enough pairs of socks. If the nights are very cold you will have to wear the warmest pair of socks.

The food should be kept fresh. Keep the food fresh if you want to eat tasty meals and avoid food poisoning. That is why you need a cooler to store the food and drinks. If you bring meat, keep it frozen until you begin cooking it. Use zip-lock plastic bags to preserve the food. Prepare at home as much food as you can. Before cooking the meat, make sure the utensils are well cleaned after use with other food.

Carry a medical kit. It is always a good idea to have some drugs and bandages in case anyone needs medical attention.

Sleep naked. Some people might feel embarrassed if caught doing so. If you are that shy, then don't do it. The reason why people sleep naked in a sleeping bag is because it is a proved way to stay warm at night. Your body heat reflects back to you. Another good way to stay warm is to share the sleeping bag with someone else. Two bodies can reflect much more heat.

Bring instant coffee. When on a camping trip, for coffee-lovers  will be far more easy to have instant coffee at their disposal. You will only need warm water to make good coffee, or just water if you prefer ice coffee.

Be well-prepared for a walk in the woods. If you are about to go hiking always bring with you a whistle, a cell phone on a full battery, an electric torch and a watch. A knife would be good too for self-defense.

Poisonous plants and mushrooms. Avoid picking up mushrooms, especially these you are not familiar with.  Educate yourself about the poisonous plants you might run into while on a  camping trip. It will be much easier to stay away from them when you know how they look like.

Use a trash can to throw your garbage. Thus, you will keep wild animals away.

Store some spices. Your meals will be far more delicious if you spice them up. To do this you have to bring spices. Here is an idea: instead of plastic bags use Tic-Tac boxes. They  are perfect to store spices.
