The Witcher is a hugely popular (and addictive) Poland-made video game, inspired by Andrzej Sapkowski's fantasy book series. The plot follows the thrilling adventures of Geral of Rivia, a monster-hunter with sorcery training and superpowers. Protective of the weak and merciless to the evil, he has become one of the most powerful and inspiring heroes in the history of game series. Although the novels have been around since early 1990s, their worldwide recognition came about due to the great success of the video game.
