Wenjin Lu, also known on DeviantArt as Norloth, is an illustrator who seeks inspiration from fairy tales and fantasy themes. She deeply adores J. R. R. Tolkien's world and characters. Therefore, unsurprisingly, her favorite books are Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit, which proves that fantasy is the art style she respects the most.

Originally, Norloth comes from Shanghai and China is her homeland, but currently she lives and works in Edinburg, United Kingdom. She specialized in traditional and digital art, managing to take best from both worlds. When creating her portraits, sketches and illustrations Norloth mainly uses colored and water-colored tools as well as a Wacom Graphire Tablet.  Basically, her creations are inspired by various fictional characters as described in books or movie adaptations.

Her artwork is strongly influenced by two masters of fantasy art whose Tolkien-related works leave huge impact on fantasy lovers - the Canadian book illustrator John Howe and the English concept designer and book illustrator Alan Lee.

Norloth’s other interests, apart from drawing, include reading, watching movies, TV series and listening to Howard Shore, Hans Zimmer, John Williams and Phil Collins's music.
