Russia-born Vadim Trunov is an extremely gifted macro nature photographer. His photos of cute squirrels playing in the snow looking happy and engrossed by the game just like little innocent kids melted the hearts of thousands of users on the Web. In the photos, we see the amazing creatures in amiable interaction: building snowmen, climbing over a camera, playing around with snow balls and nuts.The truth being told, during winter squirrels come out to look for food because they are hungry not to play. It's because they want to eat something, they are fighting for nuts and pine cones, as Trumov explains it. In fact, it was Trumov himself who placed the nuts there to attract the animals' attention and, consequently, to take these amazing wildlife images. As the pair of squirrels scuffle in the snow-covered forests outside the city of Voronezh, Russia, photographer lays low in the snow far enough to observe the dramatic dispute over a pine cone and some seeds.
